After 22 years as Sheriff and over 40 years in public safety Sheriff Amerson has retired. The Govenor has appointed Matthew Wade as Sheriff of Calhoun County as of October 1st 2016.Â
Today Sheriff Matthew Wade was sworn in to office by his friend and mentor Judge Sam Monk.
