Citizens Firearms classes scheduled for 2019 are as follows:
Thursday, January 10, 6:00 pm at Sheriff’s Office
Thursday, April 4, 6:00 pm at TBA
Thursday, July 11, 6:00 pm at TBA
Thursday, October 3, 6:00 pm at TBA
The classroom portion of the course is held in the Multipurpose Room at the Calhoun County Jail or at another suitable facility in the county. Range day will be the Saturday following the classroom instruction.
The class will cover Alabama’s laws on firearms, safe handling of weapons and storage of firearms. No pre-registration is required for the class.
Please do not bring your weapon to the classroom portion of the course. Time will be set aside on the following Saturday for those who attend the classroom instruction to go to the Deputy Sheriff’s Association Range with our firearms instructors for hands on firing of your weapon.
